distant noises; out of sight
darkness blinds all who see
who think have thought and fought to flee

through the trees, past the stream
feeling lonely, it may seem
but turn your back to turn your head
deep paranoia, sorely red

is this the penalty you sought?
i'd like to know, just where it lies
darkness is the only surprise

breezes blowing in the night
distant noises, impending fright
darkness mends their evil ways
for all who travel, all who stay

past the stream, on through the trail
lonliness seemed to prevail
but in the night's pitch of black
you were stabbed in the back

i'd like to know, just where you lie
in the darkness may you die

breezes blowing fore the noon
distant noises fade like the moon
the darkness escapes with the night
the sun shone dark rays of light

on through the trail, you reached the field
this is where your fate is sealed
the bloody stream, flowing red
before you know it, you are dead
